Given the diversity of plain bearing locomotive cellar and journal box dimensions, we can’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, our cotton lubricating pads are custom designed to maximize surface area contact and minimize premature wear for each piece of equipment. We also help design pads and restraints to fit special applications.
Installation and System Development
We also help customers design and install lubricating pads to accommodate special applications. These include designs to accommodate oil feeds to driver cellars, twill tape loops to secure pads against rolling, and sizing to fit custom cellar shapes.
